Apply for the International Water Centre Scholarships for International Students to Australia. The IWC Masters Scholarships are prestigious scholarships awarded annually to high calibre candidates who clearly demonstrate potential to become future water leaders to study the IWC Master of Integrated Water Management (MIWM) at Griffith University.

IWC offers a range of postgraduate education programs executive professional development courses, and custom courses for organisations. Our programs and courses are custom-designed to meet a particular need, match a thematic area of expertise, or suit a sector, and are co-delivered by a wide range of highly regarded academics, researchers and experienced industry practitioners.

IWC offers scholarships for the following courses:

  • Master of Integrated Water Management (Type A Countries): There is one full-tuition scholarship available, targeted at international candidates who meet the minimum eligibility requirements, hold citizenship and currently live in one of the priority Type A countries
  • Master of Integrated Water Management (Type B Countries): There is one full-tuition scholarship available, targeted at international candidates who meet the minimum eligibility requirements, hold citizenship and currently live in one of the priority Type B countries
  • Master of Catchment Science (International): Up to two full-tuition scholarships annually to international candidates from any country around the world to to study the Master of Catchment Science full-time (2 years)

Benefits

Successful applicants will receive the following benefits

Master of Integrated Water Management (Type A countries): Value for this scholarship is AU$95,564, which covers:

  • full tuition fees for full-time study of Master of Integrated Water Management
  • living expenses
  • return air travel to Australia
  • cost of a student visa for a single student

Master of Integrated Water Management (Type A countries): Value for this scholarship is AU$58,989, which covers:

  • full tuition fees for full-time study of Master of Integrated Water Management
  • return air travel to Australia
  • cost of a student visa for a single student

Master of Catchment Science (International):Value for this scholarship is AU$56,000, which covers:

  • full tuition fees for full-time study of Master of Catchment Science, for the program commencing trimester 1 (February), 2021.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you need to fulfill the following criteria:

  • Scholarship for of ‘Type A’ countries which include select countries in Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Caribbean, Africa and Middle East.(List here)
  • All scholarship candidates must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements:
    • A completed undergraduate degree in a related field of study from an internationally-recognised institution.
    • Two years of professional experience (paid work or volunteering experience relevant to the program.
    • Receive a full offer of admission into the MIWM program from Griffith University.
  • Scholarship for ‘Type B’ countries Mainly from Europe (List Here)
  • All scholarship candidates must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements:
    • A completed undergraduate degree in a related field of study from an internationally-recognised institution.
    • Two years of professional experience (paid work or volunteering experience relevant to the program.
    • Receive a full offer of admission into the MIWM program from Griffith University.
  • Scholarships for Master of Catchment Science (International)
    • A completed undergraduate degree in a related field of study from an internationally-recognised institution.
    • Two years of professional experience (paid work or volunteering experience relevant to the program.
    • Receive a full offer of admission into the MCS program from Griffith University.

Application

To apply for the program, you should follow the following procedure

  1. Applicants who apply for the scholarship must first apply for admission into Griffith University and meet the admission requirements.
  2. Apply for admission into the MIWM program through Griffith University
  3. Apply for an IWC IWM Scholarship
  4. Online applications for the scholarships open on 18th May and will close on 1st August 2020
